Job summary

PharMerica in Greensburg, PA is hiring a full-time Pharmacist for a closed‑door long‑term care and senior living focused setting. You’ll evaluate orders, provide therapy recommendations, maintain resident profiles, and ensure medication safety with a collaborative clinical team.

The role emphasizes independent work within a supportive group, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement in a growing national network. Night shifts include a $6 shift differential and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• 1 year experience in long-term care desired.
• Current and valid pharmacist license in state of practice.
• Knowledge of drug therapy guidelines, medication safety practices, and regulatory standards (CMS, DEA, FDA).
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and pharmacy information systems.
• Strong clinical judgement and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and route.
• Provide clinical recommendations regarding therapy changes.
• Maintain patient/resident profiles with history, labs, and medications.
• Ensure monitoring labs for high‑risk medications are ordered and reviewed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals for support.
• Document communications and interventions in the medical record.
