Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to coordinate and supervise patient care across multiple units during the evening, night, and weekend shifts. The role reports to the Staffing Office, and requires a nursing degree with leadership experience.

Responsibilities include clinical direction, staffing decisions, and collaboration with the Nursing leadership team to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient care and strong interdepartmental communication.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN or BSN; ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• 5+ years of Staff Nurse experience including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
• MA RN license, BLS, and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as role model, providing clinical direction to staff and evaluating care.
• Ensures high-quality, cost-efficient patient care by staffing decisions.
• Manages human resources within the Nursing Division and Hospital to support optimal care and harmony.
• Functions as on-site hospital representative coordinating operational/administrative activities for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
• Plans and directs Nursing Division activities to meet policies, procedures and divisional goals.
• Establishes interdisciplinary communication and promotes a positive BMCHS image with patients, visitors and staff.
• Demonstrates commitment to personal career growth and development.
