Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to coordinate and supervise patient care on multiple units during evening, night, and weekend shifts. You will work with Clinical Managers to ensure high-quality, timely care for all patients.

The role requires leadership experience, RN licensure in MA, and ACLS/BLS certification, with a focus on staff development and interdepartmental collaboration. This is a per diem schedule with complex staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN within 4 years required.
• 5+ years of Staff Nurse experience including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
• MA RN license, BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as role model, providing clinical direction to staff.
• Evaluates care provided by nursing personnel.
• Ensure high-quality, cost-efficient patient care by staffing decisions.
• Manage human resources within the Nursing Division and the Hospital.
• Coordinate operational/administrative activities for evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Serve as a member of the Nursing Leadership Team.
• Plan and direct Nursing Division activities to meet policies and goals.
• Maintain interdisciplinary communication and cooperation.
• Promote a positive image of the Nursing Division with patients and public.
