Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Nursing Administrator to lead hospital operations during evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. You will support the CNO, nursing leadership, and hospital site leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while promoting regulatory compliance and exceptional patient and staff experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s in nursing or healthcare field preferred.
• 3–5 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some charge nurse/supervisory experience.
• Licensed as a registered nurse with current NYS registration; specialty board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model and Care Delivery Model for patient experience.
• Ensures hourly Care Checks are integrated into clinical activities and provides feedback to staff.
• Communicates patient experience and staff engagement results to leadership for action planning.
• Collaborates with physician dyad and escalates concerns as appropriate; initiates service recovery as needed.
• Maintains a safe, patient-centered care environment and leads quality/safety initiatives and compliance.
