Job summary

UPMC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Evening/Night shift role. Two floor shifts and two office shifts weekly, with a strong emphasis on leadership, mentoring, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in practicing state.
• BSN required.
• MSN preferred if BS in non-nursing field.

Responsibilities

• Implements performance improvement and applies best practices for patient care and safety.
• Mentors student nurses and supports new preceptors in their role.
• Aligns daily work with patient safety, quality, and satisfaction goals.
• Uses nursing process to meet clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Leads change and supports staff development within the unit or system.
