Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI for an evening shift in New Rochelle, NY. The role focuses on preparing patients, positioning for specific examinations, and assisting radiologists to acquire high-quality images.

Qualifications

High School required; radiography certificate or hospital-based program required.
ARRT-MR MRI certification required; NY radiology license required.
BLS certification within 90 days; IV certification within 180 days.
1–3 years radiology experience preferred; must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Proficiency with MRI equipment and patient positioning; strong safety and patient-care skills.
Ability to document and communicate findings; adherence to performance standards and policies.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for MRI procedures and position them correctly per protocol.
Assist radiologists during procedures and ensure image quality and documentation.
Perform routine equipment QA and calibrations as needed.
Maintain clean and organized work areas and report equipment issues.
Provide patient education about the examination and procedures.
Cover shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
