Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY is seeking an MRI technologist to perform routine and some special imaging procedures. You will prepare patients, operate MR equipment, assist radiologists, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT-MR certification, NY radiology license, BLS within 90 days, and IV certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High School Required and Certificate accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
• Required 1-3 years Preferred
• ARRT-MR - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - MR
• BLS - American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
• New York State-Department of Health Radiology License Upon Hire Required
• IV Certification within 180 Days Required

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients correctly for examinations and documents questionnaires.
• Assists physicians during procedures as necessary.
• Performs quality assurance/calibrations as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of areas, equipment and accessories; reports malfunctions.
• Explains procedures to patients and educates them about exams.
