Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and some advanced imaging, prep patients, and assist radiologists. You will operate and care for MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and pursue ongoing education.

The role requires ARRT-MR, NY license, and BLS with flexible hours including evenings and weekends. The position emphasizes adherence to standards, patient communication and quality assurance, with potential teaching responsibilities and offsite

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with an accredited radiography program.
• ARRT-MR certification and NY radiology license required on hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days; IV certification within 180 days.
• Proficient in MRI safety, documentation and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, screens and positions patients for MRI examinations.
• Operates MRI equipment and calibrates for quality imaging.
• Assists radiologists during procedures and communicates findings.
• Performs quality assurance and ensures equipment cleanliness.
• Educates patients about the procedure and answers questions.
• May rotate coverage and participate in emergencies as needed.
