Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. The role is full-time with Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include performing routine and special tests, evaluating results, calibration and QC, and supporting accreditation through timely reporting. Requires a Bachelor's/Associate in CLS or MT and MLS/MT (ASCP) certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Current MLS/MT (ASCP) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience with high/Moderate complexity testing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurately performing routine and special laboratory tests according to procedures and recording results.
• Evaluate results for clinical significance and notify as needed.
• Perform calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments; identify malfunctions and correct.
• Perform and review quality control/QA per protocol; take corrective action when indicated.
• Participate in proficiency testing and review.
• Perform specialty testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation.
• Support accreditation goals by meeting turnaround time objectives.
