Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks a Developmental 5th & 6th Grade Assistant Swim Coach for a one-year ancillary position at Middle School. Working with the head coach, you will help student-athletes develop skills, grow athletically, and build character. Practices occur November through March, two evenings per week from 6:00 p.m.

to 7:30 p.m., with the stipend based on experience. Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least one year coaching experience, and knowledge of swim techniques,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of successful coaching experience, while also instilling high-quality character.
• Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.
• Ability to teach beginning and advanced skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire diverse youth. Experience working with lower income students preferred.
• Ability to interact with student athletes at different skill levels in a positive and professional manner.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written) are required.
• Demonstrated exceptional organizational and planning skills.
• Candidates must demonstrate high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
