Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Baseball Assistant Coach for the middle school, one-year ancillary position. The role supports the head coach in organizing and administering the 5th & 6th grade baseball program, with a focus on skill development, athletic growth, and character development.

Season runs March through June with flexible practice hours and 14 games on the schedule. Stipend is based on experience and for the full season.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of successful coaching experience.
• Knowledge of techniques, rules and training theory of baseball.
• Ability to teach beginning and advanced skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire diverse youth.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Demonstrate integrity as a role model.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with organization and administration of the 5th & 6th grade baseball program.
• Support student-athletes’ skill development and athletic growth.
• Support character development in addition to sport skills.
• Season runs from March to June; practices hours are flexible.
• Manage 14 scheduled games.
