Job summary

Anberry Nursing and Rehabilitation, a Generations Healthcare facility, is seeking a Mental Health Worker in Atwater, CA. The role focuses on overseeing clients’ adherence to program guidelines, providing rehabilitation groups, and crisis intervention support.

On-call shifts with daytime hours are available. Responsibilities include leading groups, tracking participation, and coordinating with nursing and counseling staff to ensure quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to groups and track attendance to maintain a 1:6 ratio.
• Facilitate groups and activities as assigned.
• Lead MHW discussions and community meetings daily.
• Record client participation in the tracking calendar and log updates.
• Encourage attendance and participation in groups.
• Assist clients with completing forms promptly and accurately.
• Document interventions and interactions in the medical record.
• Report changes in behavior to the charge nurse and Program Counselor.
