Minimum qualifications include CNA or equivalent, a High School diploma, and one year of nursing or psychiatric care experience. English fluency required; applicants must be fingerprinted and obtain DOJ clearance. Wage starts at $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with nursing and/or psychiatric clients in a clinic, hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic psychiatric and nursing skills; nursing interventions are essential.
• Certification as a CNA or equivalent is acceptable.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with severely mentally impaired adults.
• Must be at least 18 years old; fluent in reading, speaking and writing English.
• Fingerprints and DOJ clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective and efficient direct care in accordance with policies and standards.
• Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Document activities of daily living and significant behavior changes.
• Assist with meals and monitoring; participate in rounds and group activities.
• Support in admissions/discharges and required documentation.
