Job summary

Arundel Lodge, Inc. is seeking an On-Call Rehabilitation Specialist to provide flexible staffing support and direct behavioral health services.

The role supports individuals in recovery, helps with daily routines and ADLs, and promotes independence within the community. The position offers flexible on-call hours with shifts from 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, or 10pm to 6am, and weekend options are also available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of mental health, psychosocial rehab, or related field experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with establishing and maintaining daily routines.
• Prompt and assist residents with starting their day.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide support with household activities, including cleaning and cooking.
• Assist with scheduling and attending appointments.
• Facilitate transportation and provide transportation-related support as required.
• Monitor medication in accordance with program policies and assigned responsibilities.
• Provide general caregiving and supportive services.
• Encourage and support individuals in developing skills that promote independence.
• Support individuals in their recovery from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use.
• Promote self-determination, personal choice, dignity, and independence.
• Recognize and build upon each individual’s strengths and abilities.
• Maintain professional boundaries and respectful relationships with individuals served.
• Communicate important information to supervisors and members of the individual’s support team.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all Arundel Lodge policies, procedures, and program requirements.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned.
