Job summary

Anberry Nursing and Rehabilitation, a Generations Healthcare facility, is seeking a Mental Health Worker in Atwater, CA. The role pays $21–$24 per hour DOE and offers on-call hours with day or evening shifts.

The MHW oversees adherence to program guidelines, facilitates groups, and supports crises intervention while documenting services in the medical record. Background check, physical, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months job experience.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition with difficult residents.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to groups and record participation ensuring a 1:6 ratio.
• Facilitate groups and activities as assigned.
• Lead MHW discussions as assigned.
• Lead daily community meetings.
• Record client group participation on tracking calendar.
• Pass out and collect tracking calendars weekly.
• Total tracking calendar weekly and log into medical record.
• Encourage client attendance and participation in groups.
• Ensure forms are completed properly and timely.
• Document interventions and interactions in the medical record.
• Report changes in behavior to charge nurse and Program Counselor.
