Job summary

Gramercy Court, a Generations Healthcare facility in Sacramento, is searching for a Mental Health Worker to join our team. The position oversees clients’ adherence to program guidelines, provides rehabilitation groups, and assists in crisis intervention.

We offer full-time AM/PM shifts and per diem options with benefits for full-time staff, including healthcare coverage and career growth. The role requires a background check, pre-employment physical, drug screening, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• At least 6 months of job experience.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families and the public.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to groups and record participation to maintain a 1:6 ratio.
• Facilitate groups and activities as assigned.
• Lead MHW discussions as assigned.
• Lead community meetings daily.
• Record client group participation on tracking calendar.
• Pass out and collect tracking calendar weekly.
• Log calendar activities into medical records.
• Encourage client attendance and participation in groups.
• Ensure forms are completed properly and timely.
• Document interventions and interactions in the medical record.
• Report changes in behavior to charge nurse and Program Counselor.
