Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Gorham, ME, is seeking caregivers to assist Memory Care residents with daily living activities, companionship, and engagement. The role involves helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and mobility, and leading activities to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors with dementia and activities is preferred.
• English proficiency sufficient to perform duties and communicate with staff.
• You may need a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word required.
• You are compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful.
• You can make independent decisions when warranted.
• You can solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• You maintain a positive and friendly demeanor with residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring companionship and support to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Lead one-on-one and group activities in memory care.
• Serve meals, assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping.
• Respond to resident/family/employee concerns with timely follow-up.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with residents and colleagues.
