Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Gorham, ME is seeking a compassionate Memory Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, helping them maintain their dignity and independence.

You will lead one-on-one and group activities, assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and mobility, and help with mealtime and light housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors with dementia preferred.
• English proficiency to communicate with residents and staff.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word are required.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to Memory Care residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and mobility.
• Lead one-on-one and group activities to promote independence.
• Assist with mealtime, memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping tasks.
• Respond to resident, family and employee concerns with timely follow-up.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor toward residents, visitors and coworkers.
