Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support resident care and medication administration in our Davenport, IA location. This full-time role offers evening shifts, starting pay at $18 per hour, and aligns with our mission to enrich residents’ happiness.

The position requires an active Medication Technician Certification or at least one year of senior care experience, plus a Medication Manager Certificate, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least 1 year of experience caring for seniors.
• Must have an approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn the eMAR system.

Responsibilities

• Follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are administered per physician orders.
• Follow the Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate Bickford Mission in daily shift leadership.
