Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a self-directed Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or MLS eligible to join the Pineville Lab team in Charlotte, NC. This part-time role requires a 6:30pm–7:00am shift, every other weekend, and involves QA compliance, reagent preparation, and routine testing.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and MT/MLS (ASCP) eligibility within one year of hire, with strong organizational and communication skills. CAP/TJC/OSHA-aligned regulatory work is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS or equivalent registry eligible within one year of hire.
• Proficiency with quality assurance procedures and adherence to accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follows testing procedures and QA guidelines; documents non-conformities.
• Prepares reagents and maintains test materials; manages inventory to reduce waste.
• Troubleshoots test systems with appropriate departments and contacts specialists.
• Reviews and revises procedures to meet CAP, TJC, OSHA standards.
