Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a self-directed Laboratory Technologist for evenings, part-time, in the Pineville/Ballantyne lab area. The role accepts MLT applicants and requires a Bachelor’s degree with MT/MLS registry eligibility; MT/ASCP or MLS/ASCP within one year.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MT/MLS or equivalent eligible within one year of hire.
• MT (ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.
• Accepting MLT applicants.
• Works in a fast-paced clinical environment with regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Follow testing procedures and QA guidelines.
• Prepare reagents and manage test inventory.
• Exercise clinical judgment to prioritize and troubleshoot test systems.
• Review and revise procedures to meet CAP, TJC, OSHA standards.
• Maintain shift-to-shift communications with leadership.
• Participate in staff meetings and projects.
