Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Core Laboratory to support Nashoba Valley operations. The role involves performing a range of tests across Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank, with a focus on accuracy, quality control, and timely results.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, ASCP MT certification preferred, and at least three years of related experience. On-site, with travel between Marlborough and Groton as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• ASCP MT certification preferred.
• Three years of related laboratory experience required.
• LIS experience a plus; high-complexity CLIA testing eligibility demanded.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and report data for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Follow Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank protocols and maintain quality control.
• Operate and maintain instruments (AU680, AU480, Access2) and perform instrument checks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and provide guidance to technologists when needed.
