Qualifications

HEW or military certification grandfathered prior to 1980.

Responsibilities

Performs tests using manual methods or automated instrumentation with attention to accuracy.
Performs quality control checks and equipment maintenance.
Inputs quality control and patient results into the electronic medical records system.
Expedites stat and critical results to clinicians.
Troubleshoots test anomalies and system problems to ensure accurate results.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment and documentation for regulatory compliance.
Addresses supply and equipment issues to ensure ongoing operations.
Supports supervision in absence of Section Supervisor and Lead Techs.
