Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift (training on 1st shift) in Reading, PA. This mechanically focused role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and facility equipment to ensure reliable operation in a manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints and schematics, work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and maintain safety and food cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and reading blueprints/schematics.
• Familiarity with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps and compressors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general preventive maintenance, repair, and sanitation tasks on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welders and related equipment safely and effectively.
• Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and plan repairs on industrial machinery.
• Conduct electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on 3-phase systems.
• Learn and adapt to new equipment and plant changes as needed.
• Organize maintenance stock rooms and ensure parts/tools are labeled and accessible.
