Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a mechanically focused Maintenance Technician for a pretzel manufacturing facility in Reading, PA on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm). You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of production and facility equipment to keep lines running and comply with food safety standards.
Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting, operating and maintaining conveyors, ovens, scales, HVAC, and safety
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical focus with experience in food processing environments preferred.
- Experience with conveyors, ovens, HVAC, and weighing systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform electrical and mechanical repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and sanitation on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Repair and operate equipment such as conveyors, ovens, scales, HVAC, and pumps.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely; read blueprints to plan repairs.
- Train/assist other employees and maintain clean, well-organized maintenance areas.
