Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturing plant in Reading, PA. The role supports highly automated meat processing equipment and shifts on both 1st and 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electromechanical or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with 120V–480V electrical components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automation systems (no programming).
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety practices.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; work in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance with safety as the highest priority per OSHA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety regulations.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automation systems (programming not required).
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics to plan repairs.
• Assist with installation and upgrades of equipment and process improvements.
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation for all work performed.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.
