Job summary

Wellpath is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an 8-hour evening shift at Morris County Jail. You will work under RN supervision, administer medications, and participate in nursing assessments to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one year clinic experience.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
• Administers medications, including IV therapy if certified, per protocols.
• Collaborates in controlled substance counts and responds to codes or emergencies.
• Documents nursing encounters and communicates with staff, physicians, and other personnel.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training to maintain quality patient care.
