Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like environment for residents. You will assess, document, and respond to residents’ status, while collaborating with a care team to maintain quality living and dignity.

The role requires an LPN license with CPR certification, 1–2 years’ nursing experience (elder care desirable), and a schedule of 3pm–11pm with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Previous experience with the elderly is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status
• Observes and reports changes in resident health to the appropriate director and physician per state regulations
• Directs and supervises daily work of Resident Care Assistants
• Mentors and guides Lead Resident Care Assistants in their job responsibilities
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management
• Balances service demands with resident independence
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse or neglect per state regulations
• Responds to emergencies and uses personal emergency system and requests backup when needed
