Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Plainfield, IN is seeking a 2nd Shift Logistics Supervisor to oversee transportation and customs processes, ensuring accurate shipment documentation and compliant handling of imported/exported goods.

You will lead the 2:00 pm–10:00 pm shift, supervise staff, develop service standards, and collaborate with operations to improve performance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, with four years related experience.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of ITAR, import brokerage, export compliance and hazmat regulations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Provide responsible supervision and control for all departmental activities; supervise staff and conduct meetings.
• Oversee performance statistics; review shipment documentation for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Compute duties, tariffs, weight and volume; communicate with customs officials to obtain release of freight.
• Establish, monitor and revise policies for customs clearance operations.
• Identify areas of concern in import/export processes through audits and client reviews.
• Communicate with operations manager regarding progress; maintain flexible work schedule including after hours on-call rotation.
• Supervise department projects related to assigned area.
