Job summary

FedEx in Minneapolis is seeking a dock worker to operate equipment safely for moving packages, documents, and heavyweight freight. You’ll assist in pallet buildup/breakdown and coordinate with the ULD repair vendor as required.

Shift is evenings, with pay around $18.79 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required, and you must pass a drug screen for this safety-sensitive role. Federal and company policies apply.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level and maneuver packages above 50 lbs using equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours and bend/squat as needed.
• Able to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above shoulder level when required.
• Must communicate timely and effectively in a loud operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
