Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a PM Cook to support lunch and dinner production at the Land’s End Resort in Homer, Alaska. This role focuses on food preparation, production sheets, and maintaining quality and sanitation in a hotel kitchen.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, two years of cooking experience, and a food safety certification, with English proficiency and flexibility to work across stations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have two years of documented experience as a cook.
• Must have or obtain a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line cooking production duties per shift.
• Reviews daily needs with supervisor and completes production sheets.
• Assists with menu and recipe development.
• Ensures quantity and quality control and sanitation in food production.
• May assist in supervision/training of food service personnel.
• Arranges for kitchen helpers/assistants to complete smaller item preparation.
• Oversees food serving lines, stocking and cleanliness.
• Fills in for other kitchen positions as needed.
• Maintains rotation procedures for produce and dairy.
• Maintains equipment and storage sanitation.
• Other duties as assigned.
