Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a Lead Cook for its Lands End Resort kitchen in Homer, Alaska. The role focuses on preparation, production, and presentation of a variety of foods, along with production sheets and related food service activities in a hotel setting.

The position requires lead cook experience, a high school diploma or GED, and English proficiency. It is an on-site role with potential supervisory responsibilities and opportunities to assist in menu development and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three (3) years of documented lead cook experience.
• Must speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Performs all main line food and cooking production duties as assigned.
• Reviews daily needs with supervisor, completes production sheets, reviews maintenance reports, and verifies supply needs.
• Assists supervisors with menu and recipe development.
• Ensures quantity and quality control and sanitation of areas.
• May supervise and train food service personnel.
• Arranges kitchen helpers for smaller item prep.
• Oversees food serving lines, ensuring proper stocking, setup, and cleaning.
• Fills in for other kitchen positions as needed.
• Instructs and enforces proper rotation for produce and dairy.
• Maintains sanitation and safe operation of equipment and storage areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
