Job summary

Santa Clara University is seeking a Circulation Supervisor to oversee daily front-line library services, including borrowing transactions, Course Reserves, and the Help Desk during evenings and weekends.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree and library circulation experience. You will supervise student staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure accurate billing and policy communication while maintaining excellent customer service in a busy university library setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; 2 years library circulation or related experience preferred.
• Ability to use an integrated library system for circulation, checkouts, holds, and billing tasks.
• Experience with Library Services Platform or ILS and with Canvas or Google Workspace and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulation of materials and access services; use ILS to checkout/check-in materials and manage holds.
• Supervise Library Help Desk during evening/weekend hours and oversee student employees.
• Assist with Course Reserves, ARS troubleshooting, and cataloging-related tasks; support unit initiatives.
