Job summary

The Claremont Colleges Services is seeking a Part Time User Services Associate to deliver user-centered service at library service points, manage circulation and reserves, and support the course readings program. You may work evenings/weekends and assist student staff while ensuring accurate policy communication.

Responsibilities include helping with reference, learning library tech, and contributing to stacks maintenance and special projects. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

• Excellent written and oral communication in English.

• Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Drive and library catalogs.
• Ability to learn new services, policies, workflows, and technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in core User Services functions: circulation, reserves, billing, lost/missing cycle, tech lending, and more.
• Provide excellent customer service at service points in person and virtually.
• Maintain knowledge of library services and policies; share feedback to improve workflows.
• Provide basic reference support to help users find library resources.
• Learn library technology and assist users with troubleshooting.
