Job summary

PACS Organization is seeking a part-time cook to manage and operate the kitchen during the 3pm-7pm shift. The role requires preparing meals in large quantities, following menus, and ensuring sanitary kitchen conditions.

The ideal candidate has at least a year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience, HS diploma, and will obtain ServSafe certification. The position reports to the Dietary Supervisor in their absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of cook experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge of PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator and/or Director of Nurses.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
