Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support patient care by processing specimens and performing basic laboratory procedures. The role includes clerical tasks such as greeting patients, informing them of procedures, answering phones and emails, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required
• High school students will be considered provided they are enrolled in a Health Occupations Vocation Program (HOSA/HOE)
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtains lab samples by various means including venipuncture
• Check and maintains supplies for work assignments
• Responsible for excellent customer service through various duties including answering telephone calls, charting patient results, and other duties as needed
• Serves infant to geriatric patient populations
