Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations with accurate specimen collection, processing and handling, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, test ordering, specimen processing, and QA.

The role requires HS/GED with phlebotomy experience; evening/holiday coverage and on-site collaboration with providers and lab staff are expected.

Qualifications

• HS/GED plus nine months of phlebotomy experience.
• Preference for PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Ability to perform waived or moderate complexity testing per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other collection procedures per procedures.
• Processes requisitions and enters test orders into the system.
• Receives, processes and stores specimens; performs quality control.
• Performs waived or moderate complexity testing with training/competency.
• Maintains supplies and assists clinical staff as needed.
