The Steward at Kalia Theater (Waikiki Luau site) is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass, and silver, and for assisting kitchen staff with cleanliness and proper food storage. He/she will help with the breakdown and setup of the restaurant buffet and assist Banquets as required by business demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Capable of heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Able to work in varied temperatures and maintain a friendly demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchens, back dock, dumpsters and utility areas.
• Perform heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, and walk-in refrigerators.
• Wash pots, pans, and utensils; vacuum carpets in food and beverage areas.
• Sweep, mop and wash floors in all food and beverage areas and dock.
• Inform management of shortages of equipment and supplies.
• Operate dishwashing equipment ensuring proper sanitation.
• Return clean wares to storage with care to minimize breakage.
• Follow safe chemical handling procedures.
• Report faulty equipment to management.
• Empty garbage from Food and Beverage areas to the property dumpster.
• Know location and operation of fire extinguishing equipment.
• Follow sanitation standards and assist in buffet setup/breakdown.
• Assist Banquets by supplying china, glass, and silver as needed.
