Job summary

Joliet Junior College is seeking a Technical Analyst I to deliver friendly, knowledgeable technical support for faculty, staff and students during evening hours. The role involves answering helpdesk phones, troubleshooting computer equipment, and assisting with virtual meetings and hybrid classes on-site.

This full-time, evening-shift position requires strong communication, data entry accuracy, and teamwork with the Technology Support and Media Services team.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical support experience or equivalent education and training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and organizational skills for data entry.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with college staff and community, showing cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Answer helpdesk phones and enter data into ticket systems.
• Assist users with software/hardware problems, including password resets and account unlocks.
• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and applications on computers.
• Set up and maintain AV equipment and other classroom technology.
• Support meetings and events and assist with virtual meetings and AV setup.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
