Job summary

Auraria Campus is seeking an HVAC Technician II to operate, maintain, repair, install, and modify HVACR systems across classrooms, offices and labs. You will manage BAS controls, troubleshoot issues, and support emergency response activities.

The role emphasizes journey-level trade skills, preventive maintenance, and coordination with contractors. The position runs Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with responsibilities across the Auraria Higher Education Center.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional HVAC experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching and grasping.
• Willingness to work in varied weather conditions and perform emergency response tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and install HVACR equipment and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment using appropriate tools and materials.
• Monitor and calibrate building automation and BAS controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document activities in work orders.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of work.
