Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an Environmental Services worker for the evening shift. You will perform repetitive cleaning tasks to keep hospital areas orderly and sanitary and operate a variety of cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities include moving supplies, cleaning patient areas, beds, floors, and common spaces, and ensuring proper restocking and disposal practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English.
• 3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Must safely move, lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. individually.
• Must be able to perform repetitive cleaning motions and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Floorcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives cleaning assignments and transports cleaning materials to work areas.
• Cleans furnishings, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solutions; polishes sinks and surfaces.
• strips and makes beds with fresh linens and disposes of refuse.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and buffs floors; arranges furniture after cleaning.
• Inspects area after cleaning for cleanliness and notifies supervisor of repairs needed.
• Moves furniture and equipment as required and returns supplies to the utility room.
