Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System seeks an Environmental Services Aide for evening shifts to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will start by receiving assignments, stocking supplies, and performing daily cleaning tasks across patient areas.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not required.
• Ability to utilize common housekeeping equipment, including mechanical equipment such as brooms, mops, buffers, extractors, vacuum machines, scouring pads, dust rags, etc.
• Good manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Receives cleaning assignments, supplies, and equipment for work day at the beginning of the shift.
• Performs daily cleaning tasks to maintain a germ-free, clean and orderly area.
• Observes all safety policies and procedures with regards to wet floor signs and safety.
• Cleans areas and equipment following Environmental Services procedures and completes weekly/ daily reports as required.
• Maintains equipment in good condition, reports needed repairs and uses supplies economically.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Supervisor.
