Job summary

SGMC Health is hiring for a part-time Environmental Services position on the Main Campus. The 8-hour evening shift (5p-9:30p) includes cleaning and stocking patient rooms, nursing stations, and common areas to maintain a sanitary environment.

The role emphasizes following directives, completing on-the-job training for chemical use, and operating the Bed Turn-Over system, with opportunities for skill development and growth within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and follow directives.
• Completion of high school is desired educational requirement.
• Previous experience desirable but not required.
• Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate correct use of chemicals, supplies, and assigned tools. One week to three months on-the-job training.
• Must be able to input information into the Bed Turn-Over computer system.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department and participate in performance improvement activities.
