Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Environmental Services Aide I at 55 Fruit Street in Boston is a part-time evening role. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:45 PM – 11:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week, onsite.

You will maintain a safe, clean hospital environment by cleaning floors, dusting, restroom sanitation, waste handling, and reporting maintenance needs. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 2–3 years hospital cleaning experience; strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years experience with cleaning equipment used in hospitals.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenish restroom supplies as needed.
• Pick up debris around buildings and grounds.
• Operate and control high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and routine hospital activities.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
