Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a Per Diem Custodian to maintain safety and cleanliness across the hospital environment. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with duties spanning floors, restrooms, and high-touch areas.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience with hospital cleaning equipment and chemicals, good organization, and strong communication. Onsite work at 66 Blossom Street is required, with the Mass General Brigham team supporting patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 2–3 years experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures including sinks and toilets; replenishes supplies.
• Picks up debris around the building.
• Operates high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment for events and normal activities.
• Reports building maintenance needs in assigned areas.
