Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary environment that supports high-quality patient care. The role requires following Infection prevention protocols, with duties spanning room cleaning, floor care, waste handling, and safety tasks onsite at One Hospital Road.

The position is 40 hours weekly with an evening shift, offering a competitive hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of waste streams and disposal points.
Knowledge of Fire Management Plan.
Responds to fire alarms and assists Fire Department as required.

Responsibilities

Maintain assigned areas as directed by supervisor/manager.
Clean floors, offices, clinical and non-clinical spaces, restrooms and entrances.
Sweep, scrub, and polish floors; operate floor machines.
Clean carpets; vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, disinfect.
Make beds, handle soiled linen, clean patient rooms and bathrooms.
Move furnishings as needed and keep spaces neat and safe.
Keep equipment and EVS workspaces clean and organized.
