Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member for the night shift at its Columbia facilities. The role performs cleaning duties across hospital areas, ensuring a healthy, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, in compliance with regulations.

You will handle routine cleaning, waste disposal, and supply management, and attend in-service trainings as part of a professional team supporting patient care and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and carry out written guidelines, procedures and other material.
• Must be able to interpret and follow labeled direction associated with use of cleaning products.
• Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions and requests in a timely manner.
• Must be able to understand and use computer operations for review and approval of personal time and mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an optimistic, professional demeanor and strong customer relations.
• Performs full range cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, and carpet care.
• Handles disposal of solid waste and hazardous waste following proper protocol.
• Supports department with room care and bed-tracking related tasks.
• Participates in in-service education and training to improve cleaning knowledge.
