Job summary

Lexington Health, a broad network of care with multiple centers and a teaching hospital, seeks an Environmental Services professional to maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients and staff. You will perform a full range of cleaning tasks, following local, state and federal regulations, while upholding high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and carry out written guidelines, procedures and other material.
• Must be able to interpret and follow labeled direction associated with use of cleaning products and other items.
• Must be able to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to understand and use computer operations for personal time, online mandatory training and updating information in the hospital database.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an optimistic, professional demeanor and demonstrates strong customer relations with patients, visitors and staff.
• Performs cleaning tasks including dusting, wall washing, fixture cleaning, floor care and carpet cleaning per department procedures.
• Handles and dispenses cleaning supplies and ensures proper waste disposal following protocol.
• Performs hospital and departmental support functions including safety, attendance, and adherence to department protocols.
• Performs cleaning duties across hospital areas including Surgery, Patient Units, Emergency Department and Administrative Areas.
