Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County seeks an Assistant Group Home Manager to oversee evening operations in a residential home for adults with IDD in Toms River, NJ. You’ll guide Direct Support Professionals and collaborate with the Residential Program Manager to ensure consistent, respectful support.

This role focuses on leadership development, staff training, and ensuring a safe, well-run home with strong teamwork and open communication. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience supporting individuals with IDD in a residential setting.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five points.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and other daily support needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during evening and weekend hours.
• Coordinate staff schedules, shift coverage, orientations, and trainings.
• Promote a safe, person-centered environment and quality teamwork.
• Maintain daily operational flow with Residential Program Manager.
