Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County in Toms River, New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Group Home Manager to lead evening operations and supervise Direct Support Professionals in a residential setting.

You will work with the Residential Program Manager to coordinate staff, ensure quality, person-centered services, and support individuals toward independent living and meaningful activities, with opportunities for growth within Residential Services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five (5) points.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to motivate staff while maintaining a person-centered environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide Staff & Evening Operations by coordinating with the Residential Program Manager and supervising Direct Support Professionals.
• Support individual goals by helping individuals develop daily living, social and independent living skills and documenting progress.
• Maintain a safe and well-run home by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance and monitoring medical documentation.
• Handle administrative duties including budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and required reports.
